Very often I see people criticizing the PCSX2 emulator, even going as far as saying it is worthless. It happens on reddit, YouTube, random gaming forums. I see people commenting on RPCS3 videos, where barely any game works yet, and praising it and the developers, and then go to talk negatively about PCSX2 - an emulator with over 90% of games being playable! It just blows my mind! That is so stupid and disrespectful. Even if the emulator was half as good, it is still a project made by random people in their SPARE TIME, FOR FREE! I'm so grateful to all those people who enabled me to play PS2 games on my PC.
So far I have played: - Serious Sam The Next Encounter - Ico - Shadow Of The Colossus - Burnout 3 - Splinter Cell - The Thing - Army Men RTS And all these games worked almost flawlessly. I only has issue with flickering textures in Ape Escape 2, but they actually fixed it since then. I think it is just a very loud minority, who doesn't know how to use it and they have nothing better to do than spread their frustrations on the Internet.
I can not be such a lucky person that every game that I want to play works so far, yet others have 'so many issues' with PCSX2. Mmxii wrote:My question is, why use an emulator on some of those? Half of those are on PC natively. Only Splinter Cell, The Thing and Army Men RTS are on PC too.
