Dear Sir My Friend who work in the State Excise Dept,has a physically challenged(45%)daughter of 6yrs.She started going to privavte Eng.Med.school from June/2009.Now she is at ist std. My other friend in the same Dept has a mentally challenged(80%)son of 8 yrs old.

He goes to a special school(run by a convent) from June 2007. Both of them have valid Medical Certificate in this regards.they have not been claimed any allowances in this. Sir,what are the allowances/special considerations govt.provide in this regards.

While I was working as Police Constable, I was selected as Typist Gr.II. I joined duty as Typist Gr.II on FN. The scale of pay of my earlier appointment in the Police Department was Rs.6,080 – 9,830/- in the 2004 Revision. My appointment as Typist Gr.II was also in the same time scale of pay. As such I was given protection of pay under Rule 37 (b) of Kerala Service Rule Part I. My pay would be reduced to the minimum of the scale of pay of the Typist Gr.II (Rs.6,080 – 9,830/-) as I was not eligible for protection of pay as ordered in G.O.(P)211/05/Fin dtd. As I was drawing pay in a higher time scale of pay (Rs.7,480 – 11,910/-) in the Police Department by way of 1st time bound higher grade.

I had enjoyed in the earlier post was by virtue of a time bound higher grade which I was allowed on the basis of total years of service and this scale of pay of the time bound higher grade is not to be treated as the pay of the officiating post in the earlier appointment.
