Perhaps no show to return during television's revival era is as binge-worthy as Prison Break. This is Prison Break right here. High stakes, near deaths, and dare I say character development? After the last two weeks I wasn’t sure this season could live up to the Prison Break legacy but with everything that went down in this episode and everything it sets up? We’re in for a wild rest of the season. Michael being alive is the biggest “gimme” of the new Prison Break series. Let’s be real, he was dead at the end of the final “movie” of the series.

There was no back door built in. He was legit dead. So when this series came around the first thought on every single fan’s mind was, “How the hell is Michael alive?” This new season of Prison Break had the challenge of creating new ways for our team to “break out”.

It may sound simple enough, but even in the original four seasons the show basically gave up having the main characters try to escape. It didn’t work. So how could they vary it up? The conspiracy plot was eventually going to come to a head, wasn’t it? Oh thank god Michael’s ability to hide secrets in drawings wasn’t actually encoded in Mike’s DNA.

Before the episode ended I had this big plan to talk about how hilarious that notion was but thankfully it was all just a really elaborate set up by Jacob. I mean okay, I totally would have run with it but that would have taken a little of the credibility out of the show. Why do fans love Prison Break? Is it for the titular prison breaks?
